Matthews, Brannan appeal their federal convictions in Pere Marquette fraud case

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- As expected, the former developers of the Hotel Pere Marquette have appealed their federal fraud convictions and subsequent prison sentences. According to records filed in the U.S. Clerk's Office, both Gary Matthews, 82, and Monte Brannan, 71, have filed notices that they want their cases heard by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals which sits in Chicago.
