Mass. man will go to prison in connection with U.S. army veteran's 2013 shooting death

Jessie Williams, 34, was found guilty on March 20 of first-degree murder, armed robbery, armed assault in a dwelling, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and unlawful possession of a firearm. A previous conviction was overturned by the Supreme Judicial Court in 2021 when it was determined that the trial judge improperly replaced a deliberating juror with an alternate juror during deliberations. Williams will be sentenced on March 25 in Middlesex Superior Court.
