After the departure of the luckless Nico Marchetti, the ÖVP has since 1 August a new general secretary: Markus Gstöttner, 40 years old, Wiener. The "Krone" visited the new man in his office in Lichtenfelsgasse and looked behind the scenes. His desk is noticeably cleaned up, in the middle there is a small crucifix made of metal.
Markus Gstöttner (39) took up his new job at the ÖVP headquarters in the Lichtenfelsgasse in Vienna on 1 August. He announces a "content process" to find answers to current questions. He separates himself from the FPÖ, but does not exclude them as a future partner.
