Marion County Teacher Arrested, Charged with Sex Abuse

- On Monday, Kentucky State Police arrested Adam McRay, a 34-year-old Marion County High School band director, and charged him with 17 counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
- Kentucky State Police launched an investigation in late May after the Lebanon Police Department requested assistance to probe allegations of sexual contact involving at least two juvenile students.
- A Marion County Grand Jury indicted McRay on August 6, and he is being held at the Marion County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
- Additional charges could be filed against McRay in other counties as the investigation remains ongoing, Kentucky State Police indicated.
- Police confirmed McRay was employed by Marion County Public Schools as a teacher and band director at the time of the alleged offenses.
