Miguel Ángel Solano Ruiz is a retired Corbeta Captain who is noted for fiscal huachicol, traffic of fentanyl and even a possible homicide of another military. This earned the retired captain nicknames like “capitán Sol” and the “king of the fentanyl”, and who would be accused of being a liaison of the brothers Farías Laguna, related to operating a criminal network of fiscal huachicol in Tamaulipas.
According to the investigation cited by Reforma, the retired corvette captain Miguel Ángel Solano Ruiz reportedly served as a liaison for the Farías Laguna brothers, coordinating payments to sailors and officials to allow the passage of fuel in customs of Tampico and Altamira.
