The French Council of State confirmed on Monday the dismissal of ultra-rightist Marine Le Pen as a departmental councillor of Paso de Calais months after she was disqualified for five years for embezzlement of European funds. Seven months ago, the Prefect of Paso de Calais announced the automatic dismissal of the leader of National Grouping from her post as departmental councillor, but she had appealed the decision, as Europe Press notes.
Marine Le Pen was sentenced last March to four years' imprisonment, including two years' imprisonment and a sentence of ineligibility in the case of the assistants of the MEPs of the National Front.
