Man’s life saved during ‘severe medical emergency’ by Union County court deputies, Sheriff says

Bailiffs at the Union County Judicial Center noticed a 61-year-old man abruptly become unconscious and lose a perceptible pulse. Deputies laid him on the floor, began high-quality CPR and used an automated external defibrillator. After an AED shock and several rounds of CPR, the man became conscious. The man was taken to a local hospital where it was discovered that the medical emergency happened because of a heart issue.
