Manning Park Resort outlines expansion plan, seeks public input
The plan would add 25 rooms, six premium cabins and three chalets while increasing the resort’s skier capacity to 2,694 a day.
Organizers for Manning Park Resort are seeking public input on a proposed expansion plan, with full details available online.
Kevin and Donna Demers of Holiday Trails Resorts in Chilliwack purchased the property in 2013 and are invested in rejuvenating the Resort's facilities.
The plan includes a 60-hectare expansion of the CRA, increasing it by 22 per cent, allowing the Resort to accommodate 864 overnight guests and reach 2,694 skiers daily.
Two open houses are scheduled on Oct 14 at Camperland in Bridal Falls and Oct 17 at the Resort; a feedback survey runs from Oct 1 to Nov 30.
The plan follows a 60-year timeline with phased development; early stages include expanding the alpine base, lodge, and adding a new ski pod, Nordic store, spa, and wellness centre.
