Mandisa, 'American Idol' singer and Grammy winner, dies at 47
Mandisa, a Grammy-winning singer known for her time on “American Idol,” has passed away at the age of 47.
Despite finishing ninth on “American Idol” in 2006, Mandisa pursued her music career and released her debut album "True Beauty" in 2007, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
Mandisa was honored with multiple Grammy Awards for her work in Contemporary Christian Music and Pop/Contemporary Gospel categories in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
