- Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke led the investigation using CCTV and forensic evidence; officers matched a bullet from the scene to a revolver found in a vehicle containing Wallace's DNA.
- Following the verdict, Tyrece's mother, Bonnie, said their 'hearts are shattered' but welcomed that 'justice has been served'; she thanked police for their 'unwavering dedication, compassion and determination.'
- Although Wallace was convicted, the jury found two other men not guilty of murder and cleared a woman of firearms offences; Wallace will be sentenced at a later date.
