Man found guilty of murder after teenager shot outside London nightclub

Ashley Wallace was also convicted of firearm possession after jurors linked his DNA to the revolver used in the killing, police said.

  • Ashley Wallace, 40, was convicted on Friday, August 7, of murdering 18-year-old Tyrece Balcha at an Old Bailey trial; he was also found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
  • On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Tyrece was fatally shot outside the Crystal Club in Wembley after being involved in an altercation, then pursued outside where he was shot.
  • Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke led the investigation using CCTV and forensic evidence; officers matched a bullet from the scene to a revolver found in a vehicle containing Wallace's DNA.
  • Following the verdict, Tyrece's mother, Bonnie, said their 'hearts are shattered' but welcomed that 'justice has been served'; she thanked police for their 'unwavering dedication, compassion and determination.'
  • Although Wallace was convicted, the jury found two other men not guilty of murder and cleared a woman of firearms offences; Wallace will be sentenced at a later date.
