A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a hospital on Saturday after being bitten by a timber rattlesnake while hunting in a remote area of Somerset County. The man, who was hunting in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, managed to reach a roadway to meet emergency responders before being taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. The man’s condition is not known at this time. Timber rattlesnakes are native to Pennsylvania.
