ONAWA, Iowa  – A stand-off Thursday afternoon in Monona County eventually ended peacefully, with one person taken into custody. (Onawa, IA)  —  A man is in custody after barricading himself in a grain elevator.  Police say the man climbed up the elevator in Onawa on Thursday and blocked the ladder with rubble to prevent sheriff deputies from getting to him.  It happened around 2:30 p.m.  After attempts to speak with the man through a drone, he eventually climbed back down around 4:45 p.m. and was taken into custody.
