Man, 25, drowns in Lake Ontario: OPP
- A 25-year-old man from Toronto drowned in Lake Ontario after going under the water and never resurfacing, according to the Ontario Provincial Police .
- Officers from the OPP's Northumberland Detachment responded to a distress call at the east side of the pier in Cobourg, Ont., and found the man in the water.
- Despite efforts by emergency services and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital. No further details about the victim were provided by the police.
