An earthquake struck 6.2 degrees on the Richter scale of Java Island in Indonesia Friday evening, and there were no immediate reports of human loss or material damage as a result of the earthquake. The German Research Centre for Geological Sciences reported that the earthquake was located at a depth of 371.5 kilometres at a latitude of 5.11 degrees south and a longitude of 106.91 degrees east.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) announced that a magnitude 6.6 earthquake was recorded near the Teluknaga region of Indonesia.
The latest tremor came a day after another magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck the Banda Sea near Indonesia的s Maluku Island on Friday, September 11
The quake was recorded at a depth of 359 kilometers, about 125 km north of Jakarta - There are no reports of damage so far
