U.S. President Donald Trump will sign a decree exempting the country’s car manufacturers from 25 percent tariffs to give them time to bring parts supply chains back home, Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick said Tuesday. Car manufacturers would receive credits of up to 15 percent of the value of vehicles assembled in the U.S. that could be applied to account for the value of imported parts, Lutnick told journalists.
