On Saturday night in Baton Rouge, the LSU Tigers defeated the McNeese Cowboys 63-14 at Tiger Stadium, improving to 4-1 while setting a school record with 102 offensive plays.
Head coach Lane Kiffin's squad accumulated 731 yards of total offense, continuing a two-game winning streak following their loss to Ole Miss on September 19.
Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, while running backs Harlem Berry and Stacy Gage combined for three rushing scores as the Tigers scored at least 14 points in each quarter.
Defensively, the Tigers limited McNeese to six first downs and just one of 12 third-down conversions, though Cowboys quarterback Jamaal Levi managed a 64-yard rushing touchdown.
LSU travels to Kentucky next Saturday to continue Southeastern Conference play, while McNeese prepares for Northwestern State on October 17.
