Lowden Says Bond Casting Speculation Is 'Flattering'
Lowden said the Bond speculation is flattering but declined to fuel it as final screen tests and bookmaker odds keep him among the frontrunners.
On Monday, Scottish actor Jack Lowden told British GQ he finds James Bond casting speculation "all very flattering" but refused to "add to the noise" regarding his potential involvement.
Amazon MGM Studios conducted final screen tests at Bray Studios in Berkshire last month, featuring Lowden alongside Callum Turner, Josh O'Connor, and a mystery fourth candidate.
Slow Horses co-star Gary Oldman previously fueled speculation by suggesting the role was cast, though he clarified at the Toronto International Film Festival that he possessed no insider information.
Director Denis Villeneuve and producer Amy Pascal are leading the methodical search, with Pascal stating an announcement is a "good bet" by late 2026.
Casting director Nina Gold is overseeing the search for an actor embodying the "total enigma" essential to the franchise, as Lowden continues acclaimed work on Slow Horses.
The British actor Jack Lowden ("Slow Horses", "Slow Horses"), who is considered to be a Toppavorit on the role of James Bond, does not want to participate in the speculations about the next 007 actor.
