L'Oréal and Gisou Lead Beauty’s Shift Towards Next-Generation Precision Droppers
Haircare and dermocosmetics led the outperformance as local beauty sales rose 10%, CEO Nicolas Hieronimus said.
On Wednesday, L'Oréal reported better-than-expected second-quarter sales, rising 6.3% on an adjusted like-for-like basis to €11.6 billion, beating analyst expectations of 4.8% growth.
CEO Nicolas Hieronimus credited the growth to the beauty market's dynamism and L'Oréal's 117-year history of acquiring and nurturing brands, from mass-market L'Oréal Paris to high-end designer labels.
India sales surged 20 percent, outpacing the local beauty market's 10 percent uptick, while dermatological beauty including CeraVe and La Roche-Posay led company growth with 11.1% adjusted like-for-like increase.
Hieronimus emphasized "accelerated innovation" as the primary driver, noting the group launched two-and-a-half times more innovations in the first half compared to last year, positioning L'Oréal to outperform the global market.
Resolving airport travel retail disruptions in China by the second half of 2026 remains a priority, while L'Oréal prepares for its 50-year exclusive Gucci fragrance and beauty license beginning July 1, 2027.
