Look: 'Trying' Season 5 gets first-look photos, July premiere date

  • AppleTV announced that the fifth Season of its longest-running sitcom, Trying, will premiere on July 8, featuring eight new episodes with a weekly release schedule through August 26.
  • Trying follows Nikki and Jason, a couple who struggled to conceive and eventually adopted siblings Princess and Tyler, with Season 4 offering a glimpse at their family dynamic five years post-adoption.
  • The new season finds Nikki and Jason navigating chaos when Kat, the biological mother of Princess and Tyler, arrives at their doorstep, while Celia Imrie, Phil Davis, Gbemisola Ikumelo, and Colin Morgan join the ensemble cast.
  • Created by Andy Wolton, the series is produced by BBC Studios and was recently acquired by the BBC in a first-of-its-kind deal, with Apple teasing production completion by posting: "Your favorite feel good couple is wrapped on Season 5."
  • Viewers can currently stream Seasons 1 through 4 of the comedy on AppleTV, as the show remains one of the streamer's longest-running programs heading into this summer release.
