Local women saddle up for Round-Up slack; top 36 barrel racers move on to weekend competition

The final slack competition before the Red Bluff Roundup was to kick off on Friday night was the barrel racing slack, which included 115 participants. Among those participants were 14 women from Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties who are attempting to get into the weekend festivities.
