Local businesses urged to apply for federal flood funds by June 10
Eligible businesses, nonprofits and residents can borrow up to $2 million for repairs and working capital, with rates as low as 2.875%, the SBA said.
Washington residents, businesses, and nonprofits face a June 10 deadline to apply for Small Business Administration disaster loans following severe flooding in December 2025.
Historic flooding from December 5–19, 2025, in King County's Snoqualmie Valley and Cedar River prompted the SBA to offer recovery assistance for uninsured losses.
Borrowers can access up to $2 million for businesses, $500,000 for homeowners, and $100,000 for renters, with interest rates as low as 2.875% for homeowners and 4% for businesses.
The SBA notes key advantages including 12-month deferments with no interest accrual and the ability to "apply for an SBA loan the same day of registration with Federal Emergency Management Agency ."
Interested applicants can submit applications via the MySBA Loan Portal at lending.sba.gov or contact the Customer Service Center; those with speech disabilities should dial 7-1-1 for telecommunications relay services.
