Chandauli police seized a large consignment of liquor being transported from Panipat, Haryana, to Bihar on National Highway 19. The smugglers had hidden the liquor crates in the container behind sacks filled with sawdust. During the search, 10,451 liters of liquor was recovered in 1,185 crates, estimated to be worth over 1.5 crore rupees.
