Alejandro Vaquera scored the goal for Brownwood (1-0), which earlier in the tournament dropped matches to Beaumont United, 1-0, and Manor New Tech, 3-0. The Lions open the home portion of their schedule at 7 p.m. Tuesday as they host San Angelo Lake View.
