Lingerie brand that introduced Wonderbra to the UK liquidated
The UK lingerie brand stopped trading after administrators were appointed, while its European operations continue outside the liquidation process.
Gossard Limited officially ceased trading and entered liquidation on May 14, 2026, though the lingerie brand advised that European operations continue to trade as normal.
Insolvency professionals Andrew Cordon and James Everist of CFS Restructuring LLP were appointed as administrators after documents filed at Companies House revealed significant debts to suppliers and HMRC.
Separately, retailer Leading Labels entered liquidation on May 26, 2026, with liquidator Jeremy Bleazard of Business Solutions Limited appointed to manage closure of all 15 remaining stores.
Store closures have displayed 'Closing down' signs for weeks, including at the Bolton branch, where a spokesperson for The Market Place noted 'there's been some internal difficulties with them.'
Leading Labels' liquidation follows reports that fashion retailer Quiz would shut all 37 of its remaining UK stores, reflecting broader instability within the high street retail sector.
