Lincoln County Historical Society remembers Brookhaven Navy Cross recipient with special program - Daily Leader

A Navy Cross recipient from Brookhaven will be the subject of this month’s historical presentation by the Lincoln County Historical and Genealogical Society. In March 1942, Lt. Commander Hyram Cassedy assumed command of the USS Searaven, a 311-foot-long Sargo-class submarine, just three years old at the time.
