Life expectancy in Portugal goes up to 82.4 years and recovers from losses caused by the pandemic.

Eurostat data shows that in 2023, Portugal was one of the 18 countries in the European Union that had a life expectancy at birth higher than registered in 2019, before the pandemic, and Spain, Italy and Malta are the EU countries where you can expect to live longer.
