The bookstores of the Gibert group will ask to be placed in judicial reform, in difficulty because of the "decline in the market for new books".
Gibert, who operates 16 stores and employs 500 employees, explains that his "current model is taken in a scissor effect between the explosion of its fixed costs" and "the decline of the market for new books with a reduction of margins in this market".
The group, behind Gibert Joseph, will file its case before the Paris Economic Court on Tuesday 28 April, according to Actu Paris.
