- At Turn 1 during the final qualifying runs, stewards determined Hamilton unnecessarily impeded Piastri on a push lap while traveling at reduced speed on the racing line, forcing Piastri to abort his final flying lap.
- Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur accepted responsibility, stating, "If there is a mistake, it's our mistake," after Hamilton received no radio warning about Piastri's approach. Piastri called the incident "pretty bad."
- Charles Leclerc, Kimi Antonelli, and Piastri each gain one position on the grid as a result, while Hamilton, who narrowly missed pole to Lando Norris by 0.012 seconds, now starts from fifth instead of second.
- Antonelli remains under investigation for a separate yellow flag violation as he passed the stationary Red Bull of Max Verstappen during qualifying, adding further uncertainty to the grid order.
