Leiden researchers: donor poop can help people with bowel problems

People with chronic bowel disease may benefit from receiving donated poop from healthy people, say researchers from Leiden. The patients are less affected by their intestinal bacteria, and that protection “is expected to last for a longer period”, according to the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Dutch Donor Feces Bank (NDFB).
