Before the G7 summit in Évian, France, in the afternoon, capitalism critics want to demonstrate in the near Geneva. The police expect up to 50,000 participants. In Geneva, the heads of state and government and their delegations land. By A. Ulrich.
The G7 starts on Monday in Evian in Haute-Savoie on the French side, while the counter-summit takes place on the other side of the border, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Swiss Confederation led the riots of June 2003 in Geneva and Lausanne, when the French spa city hosted the G8. This Sunday, on the eve of the opening of the summit, the Geneva authorities authorized a demonstration of the "No-G7" coalition.

This year, the Feminist Strike takes place on Saturday 13 June, not on the 14th, the traditional date, in order to avoid a collision with Sunday's Manifesto No G7 in Geneva. Collectives want to launch a strong signal against violence against women, unpaid care work and inequalities. In French-speaking Switzerland, all called to join the anti-G7 rally on Sunday.
