Beirut, Aug 31 (Latin Press) The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs today expressed its willingness to maintain good relations with Iran, but stressed that ties must be developed through the constitutional and legitimate institutions of the state. The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs replied to the statements made by the Iranian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Abbas Irakji, concerning the relationship with the Lebanese Government and factions, affirming that relations between States must go through constitutional and legitimate institutions and that respect for sovereignty is "a mutual principle that does not tolerate selectivity or abuse."
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry, which has always taken a hostile stance against the Islamic Republic of Iran, claimed that it seeks the best possible relationship with Tehran.
