The origin of biomass burned in Dutch power plants is the subject of a lawsuit against the Dutch State. Committee for Clean Air (CSL) announces that it will demand stricter oversight through the courts. With this case, the environmental organization aims to ensure that the State “no longer treats or subsidizes biomass as sustainable when the origin and sustainability of the wood used have not been established independently enough.”
