The Saudi driver Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Overdrive) won the 2nd stage of the Dakar 2025 Rally in his country on Monday, the formidable “48h timed timer”, from which the reigning champion Carlos Sainz escaped but was 1 hour and 30 minutes late.

Car driver Martin Prokop dropped to eleventh place in the standings after the two-day second stage of the Dakar Rally, while motorcyclist Martin Michek is fifteenth. After the longest stage of this year's famous competition, South African Henk Lategan with a Toyota moved into the lead, and among motorcyclists, KTM factory rider Daniel Sanders from Australia holds on to first place.

The second part of the “48 hours” stage allowed Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Toyota) to set the fastest time ahead of Nasser al-Attiyah (Dacia). But it was Hank Lategan (Toyota) who took the lead in the overall standings ahead of this duo. Sébastien Loeb regained 18 minutes from the leaders on Monday to take 6th place overall 18'56" behind.

La deuxième partie de l'étape « 48 heures » a permis à Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Toyota) de signer le meilleur temps devant Nasser al-Attiyah (Dacia).
