The Apostolic Nunciature referred to the published information about two priests accused of sexual crimes against children as "very serious", reporting on Thursday's news portal 15min.
The apostolic nunciature has called the information released about two priests accused of child sexual abuse “very painful,” the news portal 15min reported on Thursday. “The Holy See has been informed of this painful situation, continues to follow it with great concern and receives regular updates on any developments.
"The news is shocking. These are things that are probably incomprehensible to today's society. For me, as a minister, as a father of three children, the most important thing I would like is openness from the Church - clear declarations of what they have done, how they reacted, whether they had knowledge of any possible indications that something is happening in the Church," L. Alsys told Žinių radijus on Thursday.
