King Charles III strips 15 people of honours - check the full list
The Cabinet Office list shows 15 forfeitures this year for criminal convictions, professional censure and conduct that brought the honours system into disrepute.
His Majesty revoked 15 honours in 2026, including OBEs and MBEs, for criminal convictions, professional censure, or actions bringing the honours system into disrepute, the Cabinet Office confirmed.
Liam Walker, leader of the Oxfordshire Conservatives, commended the move earlier this year, saying "stripping those honours helps protect the integrity and value of the honours system."
Ben Key lost his KCB and CBE following professional censure, while Ian Hudson forfeited his 2020 OBE after a criminal conviction; Graham Trewhella and Lloyd Hamilton also lost their MBEs earlier this year.
The Cabinet Office list shows eight forfeitures occurred in March, with five additional removals finalized in October, following Jeffrey Donaldson's knighthood removal earlier this year.
Among those losing titles are a leading politician, a former BBC star, and an award-winning composer, reflecting efforts since January to address professional misconduct and censure.
