- During consultations with President Salva Kiir and senior officials, the delegation emphasized fostering inclusive dialogue, preserving peace gains, and enhancing governance and political transition.
- Despite calls from opposition representatives to meet Machar, the delegation had no confirmed plans to do so, with previous requests repeatedly denied and skepticism expressed about easing tensions.
- The African Union and IGAD reiterated their commitment to peace, unity, and adherence to the peace deal, stressing trust, national cohesion, and dialogue as essential for South Sudan's transition.
