Kia EV2 review: a small electric SUV with big-car appeal
The entry-level Air gets a 12.3-inch display setup, 362 litres of boot space and a 275-mile range, Kia says.
The Kia EV2 brings distinctive, boxy styling to an electric SUV measuring just over four metres long, delivering a practical interior that avoids making a smaller vehicle feel like a lesser one.
Kia's latest design language feels like a refreshing "up yours" to the really rather dreary onslaught of SUVs, with this family style guide carrying over to the stylish new EV2.
KiaPrices start at £26,995, with Twin 12.3-inch displays and a separate climate screen in the entry-level Air, while the boot offers 362 litres and Rear passengers get their own USB sockets.
The Air features a 61kWh battery with an official range of up to 275 miles, while the First Edition offers 195 miles; Charging is respectable with a 10 to 80 per cent top-up taking around half an hour.
With a seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty, Kia backs the EV2, and though Smooth progress takes precedence over spirited driving on battered British roads, the vehicle remains a convincing everyday proposition.
