KGH Foundation raises $45.4 million for health care
The campaign raised $45,432,601 and funded surgical programs, emergency care upgrades and community clinics for patients across the Interior.
The 'Closer to Home Than You Think' campaign for KGH Foundation officially closed after four years, raising $45,432,601 and surpassing its goal by over $5 million.
Thousands of people invested in a shared vision for improved health care across the Interior, creating an impact for hundreds of thousands of patients, families, and professionals.
Foundation funds supported vital hospital initiatives including the Gynecologic Oncology Surgical Program, 3T MRI technology, robot-assisted surgery, and the Body Donor Program at KGH.
Helping community-based initiatives, the campaign directed resources to the Integrated Health Outreach Team mobile clinic van and opening a new Foundry Kelowna location.
Allison Young, CEO of the KGH Foundation, noted the accomplishment extends beyond the fundraising goal, while Mike Gawliuk, CEO of CMHA Kelowna & District, praised the collaborative approach.
