Kevel secures £39 million to scale AI-driven infrastructure
The ad tech company says the funding will expand transparent AI tools that let retailers control ranking, bidding and placement decisions.
On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Kevel announced $52 million in new capital, marking the largest capital raise in the company's history and strengthening its position as an AI-enabled commerce media infrastructure provider.
"Commerce media is entering a new era, one defined by ownership, transparency, and AI-driven infrastructure built around the business rather than intermediaries," said James Avery, founder and CEO, Kevel. Retailers need visibility into how advertising decisions are made.
The financing includes strategic investments from ORIX USA, Fulcrum Equity Partners, dunnhumby Ventures LLC, and Iberis Capital. Kevel now supports more than 100 commerce media networks worldwide, including Tesco, Dollar General Media Network, and the John Lewis Partnership.
Funding accelerates Kevel's growth strategy with transparent AI at the center of its product roadmap, including development of AI-powered decisioning tools and expansion into new retail and commerce media categories globally.
The investment brings Kevel's total funding to more than $74 million, with cumulative capital raised exceeding $100 million. As the sector matures, businesses are shifting from launching to scaling media networks, positioning Kevel to support omnichannel activation.
