Kentucky joins Indiana in AP Top 10 as Louisville remains unranked
The Wildcats are 7-1 and in sole possession of first place in the Southeastern Conference after their fifth straight league win.
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Associated Press ranked the Kentucky Wildcats No. 9 in its Top 25 poll, marking the program's first top-10 appearance since 2022 following a 34-17 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Head coach Will Stein has led the Wildcats to a historic 7-1 record in his first season, the program's best in 117 years, while securing sole possession of first place in the SEC at 5-1.
Crediting the team's mentality, Stein said, "We have good players that are connected," while emphasizing the coaching staff's preparation as elite in the country.
