Bengals Legend Ken Anderson Named Semifinalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame
Nine senior semifinalists were chosen from 182 candidates by the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee to advance toward the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
- Wednesday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio named nine Seniors semifinalists, including Ken Anderson and Roger Craig for the Class of 2026.
- Beginning with 182 candidates, the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee reduced the field to nine semifinalists, with a virtual meeting scheduled for Dec. 3 to select three finalists.
- Former MVP Ken Anderson led Cincinnati Bengals to their first Super Bowl and finished with 32,838 passing yards and 197 touchdowns, while Roger Craig recorded the NFL's first 1,000/1,000 yard season.
- The Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee will cut nine semifinalists to three finalists who advance to the full selection committee vote before the Super Bowl in February, with 20 finalists presented next year and between four and eight new enshrinees in August in Canton.
- Among the semifinalists are L.C. Greenwood, Joe Jacoby, Eddie Meador, Stanley Morgan, Steve Tasker and Otis Taylor, while returning finalists Maxie Baughan and Jim Tyrer were eliminated.
