Kelowna Uber driver posts video of couple attacking, being dragged by his car
RCMP are reviewing video and witness statements after a woman chased and punched the vehicle and a man clung to the door for several yards.
- The Kelowna RCMP is investigating an altercation involving an Uber driver and two pedestrians that occurred downtown on Saturday, Aug. 22.
- Uber driver Benton Calder posted video showing a man clinging to his Tesla after dropping a passenger on Mill Street, while a woman punched the vehicle.
- The incident took place before 8:20 p.m. in the 1400-block of Water Street, with the vehicle pulling the man several yards before he fell to the road.
- Steven Lang of the RCMP said investigators are reviewing all available evidence, including witness statements and video recordings, to determine circumstances leading to the incident.
- Anyone who witnessed the altercation or has information that could be helpful should contact the Kelowna RCMP to assist with the ongoing investigation.
