The KDE project will receive exactly 1,285,200 euros this year and next from the Sovereign Tech Fund – and thus from German tax funds. The money will be invested in the reliability and security of the core components. This includes the KDE team in particular the desktop environment Plasma, which serves as its basis frameworks as well as the in-house distribution KDE Linux.
