Body of missing kayaker found in Lake Norman

The body of a missing kayaker was found in Lake Norman on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cornelius Police Department. The call came in around 3 p.m. in regards to a person on a kayak that went under water and never resurfaced.  Emergency personnel were searching near a cove in the area of Henderson Road in Cornelius.
