The works for the pumped storage power plant of Energie AG in Ebensee (Upper Austria) are progressing. The so-called power plant cavern is now ready – a large cavity in which even the local church would fit.
For the new Ebensee pumped storage power plant, workers blasted a gigantic cave out of the rock – so large that the entire church of Ebensee would find its place in it. The half-billion-euro project near the border with Salzburg is progressing rapidly.
