EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas, who was in Chisinau on Friday, announced that she would propose doubling European military aid for the Republic of Moldova, which she said would become the largest EU support package for a partner country after Ukraine. At the same time, the European official promised that Brussels would call for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria in possible negotiations with Moscow on the lifting of sanctions.
