Judge dismisses disciplinary rulings against 2 Cape Breton police officers

Christopher Garnier is serving a life sentence for second-degree murder and indignity to a human body. Garnier killed Truro police officer Catherine Campbell in September of 2015. In February of 2017 he was under house arrest at either his father's home in Bedford, N.S., or his mother's house in Cape Breton. Officers conducted what is known as a compliance check, by knocking on the door of the home Garnier was supposed to be staying in.
