- Calvin Penney, a stubborn fisherman played by Hartnett, remains haunted by his father's mysterious death decades earlier. When an unidentified sea creature begins terrorizing the town, Penney must protect his son Wade and his community.
- Filmed on location in Newfoundland, the production captures the rugged landscape through Showrunner Jesse McKeown's vision. Mackenzie Davis plays visiting marine researcher Fonda Howander, while Charlie Heaton portrays Wade Penney.
- Ahead of its world premiere today, Thursday, at the Toronto International Film Festival, Netflix released an official poster and trailer. The footage teases ocean chaos and mysterious threats lurking beneath the surface.
