Journalist, editor and writer José Luis Martínez S. (Mexico City, 1955) will receive this year the National Tribute of Cultural Journalism Fernando Benítez of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) for an outstanding career of almost half a century in cultural journalism and shows, mainly.
José Luis Martínez's career in Mexican journalism will be recognized with the Fernando Benítez Tribute of the FIL Guadalajara 2026.
“My greatest pride is to be a journalist,” he said when he heard the news; recognition will be given to him within the framework of the Guadalajara International Book Fair.
He will be honored at FIL Guadalajara 2026 "for his outstanding professional career of almost five decades in the field of culture, as well as for his contributions to printed journalism on culture, shows, society and politics"
At the 40th edition of the Guadalajara International Book Fair, José Luis Martínez will receive the National Cultural Journalism Tribute “Fernando Benítez”, which has been dedicated to cultural dissemination in Mexico for almost five decades.
