Joe Burrow, Jordan Battle Carry Bengals Past Winless Dolphins
Burrow completed 23 of 32 passes without a turnover as Cincinnati ended a two-game skid and improved to 3-2.
- On Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-24, with quarterback Joe Burrow throwing four touchdown passes to snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 3-2.
- Before the game, Bengals safety Jordan Battle told reporters Thursday that Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis has a pre-throw 'tap' allowing defenders to anticipate passes; coach Jeff Hafley dismissed it as common rhythm.
- Battle validated his scouting report by intercepting Willis twice during the second quarter, with the turnovers helping Cincinnati solidify its defensive game plan against Miami's struggling offense.
- The loss dropped the Dolphins to 0-5, their worst start since 2019, as Willis finished 15 of 27 for 137 yards with a lost fumble in the defeat.
- Both teams enter a bye week in Week 6, providing time for adjustments; Willis faces pressure to refine his mechanics while Cincinnati develops its rushing attack during the break.
